"To save our lives, to save all life, to save Life, is to find all the ways to restore the original relationships with the natural world, the beings of the natural world and the elementals as kin." Yes! Thank you for writing this.

In the “you can’t make things up category” - I am now in Boston and just took a walk around a nearby reservoir - I saw an inviting bench and then heard a hawk-like bird call very close that seemed to say “sit!” So I did - I opened my phone, after unsuccessfully trying to see the bird that told me to sit, and saw your Life! Yes! article that had just popped into my email. I started reading as it seemed like spirit’s plan - sit and read now ! So at about 3/4 of the way through a young African man sits next to me on the bench totally intent on a conversation - He asked where I was from and I said “Los Angeles” and he noticed I was wearing a Ukraine t-shirt, so I told him that I am here to pick up my daughter who is finishing a summer school institute focused on Ukrainian studies. He commented sympathetically on the war and said he was from Nairobi, Kenya, now lives in the area and walks around the pond to de-stress. We engaged in a beautifully long and comprehensive conversation about politics, parenting, and of course the planet - as it turns out he is running a company that grows millions of trees to be planted by youth all around the world ! The UN is involved and many countries including Kenya - it was so inspiring . I am back now having made a cup of coffee - with so much gratitude to the bird, your writing, a well placed bench and spirit flowing all around this beautiful young man who is literally attempting to restore the planet one tree at a time -
