Beautiful! Insightful!

"Might this mean, that it may no longer matter in the ways it did once, where exactly we are born or where we spend our years if we can revive and retain the ancestral call to put down roots somewhere so that we can become part of a certain Earth, of a certain place, as is needed for humans to be able to live their lives in the right way."

This essay is so damn sad, and fierce, and clear in drawing together the essential connections. That song. The song of place and kin, belonging. Life. Thank you, Deena.

What a beautiful piece of writing and ‘hope’

'This is the task – to remain engaged and compassionate in the face of …..’

Let us be with her and let us learn by listening how to meet what we must, how to love what we love with our entire being.

Thank you for all the words in it, for the infusion of hope, or inspiration to search for that deep love with my entire being…

and congratulations for being a great-grandma!!

I'm so very moved by these testaments of love amidst deep suffering. I awoke today feeling oh so helpless with the brutality happening in Gaza. Thank you, thank you.
